Chadwick Boseman’s widow Simone Ledward-Boseman mentioned they “felt very sure” he would survive his personal battle with colon most cancers. In a March 20 interview with Today, Simone mirrored on the couple’s preliminary optimism following his 2016 prognosis, saying, “It was going to be a challenging moment, but something that he would come out on the other side of and be fine. They would do a surgery, he would do some chemo afterward, and he would be OK. There wasn’t much talk at all of the possibility of him not being OK on the other side of that.” Simone recalled when Chadwick briefly went into remission across the identical time ‘Black Panther’ turned a worldwide success. Sadly, Chadwick’s most cancers later returned and progressed to stage 4 earlier than his passing in August 2020 at age 43.
