Chancellor Rachel Reeves insists ‘working individuals’ will not pay extra amidst Budget hypothesis

Rachel Reeves has declined to rule out introducing a so-called "wealth tax" however insists Labour has been "really clear about the taxes that we won’t increase".

Speaking on the launch of a £500m scheme to help weak youngsters, Ms Reeves advised broadcasters: "We’re not going to increase the taxes that working people pay, their income tax, their national insurance and their VAT."
