‘Chaos’ for UK nature as rising temperatures and excessive climate change into the ‘new norm’

Rising common temperatures, altering seasons and more and more unpredictable climate is inflicting "chaos" for UK nature, the National Trust has discovered.

The charity’s annual report paints a bleak image as local weather change alters seasons, impacting each wildlife and timber and crops.

Temperature-wise, it is estimated that 2023 would be the hottest yr on report – and doubtless within the final 120,000 years – with the Met Office forecasting 2024 to be hotter nonetheless.
