China to make caviar available to the masses
China aims to make Kaluga Queen caviar a cheaper food for the masses and it is already said to have been sold to the British Royal Family and many political leaders globally.
Prices start at 500 RMB (around £57) for 50g, going up to 9,000 RMB (£1,024) for a 50g tin of beluga caviar. Some breeds are up to two metres long and worth as much as a Ferrari.
The delicacy is already sold in Harrods in the UK but the aim is to make it more broadly available eventually.
