‘Choked into silence’: Why are black victims of home abuse not talking up?

A survey has discovered "deep mistrust" in the direction of police from black girls who’ve been victims of abuse.

The findings from the charity Sistah Space present that the majority black girls consider organisations such because the police or social companies wouldn’t consider them in the event that they reported a home abuse.

In England and Wales, black girls usually tend to expertise home abuse than some other ethnic group – with 33.1% affected, in response to the Office for National Statistics.
