Confusion over Musk’s e mail to federal employees after companies are instructed responses are voluntary

The Office of Personnel Management notified authorities companies that responding to Elon Musk’s “What did you do last week?" email is voluntary and failure to respond will not equate to a resignation. However, President Donald Trump today praised the email and said that anyone who doesn’t answer is “semi-fired, or fired.”
