Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham, says there is "a case" for re-nationalisation of utility firms as energy bills soar.
The former Labour MP also criticised the Tory leadership contenders for "promising more Thatcherism" if they get the keys to Number 10, claiming that privatising the firms, which began under Margaret Thatcher’s leadership in the 1980s, is "what got us into the mess that we’re in right now".
