Could the UK ship drones to the Middle East? | Michael Clarke evaluation

Defence and safety analyst Michael Clarke spoke to Sky News about ideas the UK authorities may ship drones to the Middle East amid rising tensions within the area.

“We do have this new system, a robotics system,” Clarke mentioned. “We’re working on a new generation counter-mine capability.”

However, he mentioned Britain’s potential to deploy ships to the area is restricted.

“One thing we can’t do is deploy ships in the area because we don’t have any,” he added, noting that HMS Dragon is presently the one Royal Navy ship obtainable.
