Counter terrorism chief says ‘be alert, however not alarmed’ after UK terror menace degree raised

Counter terrorism policing chief, assistant commissioner Laurence Taylor, has urged UK residents to "be alert, but not alarmed" after the phobia menace was upgraded to extreme.

Taylor mentioned the UK has seen a "gradual increase in terrorist threats for some time", which has been "driven by a rise in both Islamist and extreme right-wing terrorism".

"We are seeing an elevated threat to Jewish and Israeli individuals and institutions in the UK," he added.
