D-Day veterans on their recollections of the invasion

It was on today, 80 years in the past, that greater than 150,000 allied troops landed by air and sea on the seashores of Normandy in northern France.

It was the largest seaborne invasion in navy historical past, one that may finally see Europe liberated from Nazi occupation, ending World War II.

Royalty and world leaders are gathering with veterans in Normandy to mark the anniversary of the D-Day landings.
