Cathy Heglund grew up in a terrifyingly haunted previous farmhouse on the outskirts of Bergen, in Upstate New York. After a childhood of dwelling with threatening apparitions, she manages to flee. But the previous refuses to stay buried, when, many years later, monetary circumstances pressure her to maneuver again. Almost instantly she is taunted by horrifying, unearthly actions and sounds.
