Demonstrators march by Tbilisi, Georgia, in protest over ‘international brokers’ invoice

Tens of hundreds of individuals have marched by the streets of Georgia’s capital protesting in opposition to a brand new legislation that critics say threatens press and civic freedoms.

Demonstrators lined each embankments of the Kura River and past, galvanised by their opposition to the ‘international brokers’ invoice being pushed by parliament by the ruling Georgian Dream social gathering, which is regarded by many as pro-Russian.

The invoice would imply any organisation that takes greater than 20% of its funding from overseas could be branded an ‘agent of international affect’.
