Denmark’s international minister referenced the ‘sturdy assertion’ from Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and mentioned it has given Denmark the assumption that the UK and EU will stand behind the nation regardless of the results.
Speaking to Sky’s political editor Beth Rigby, Lars Lokke Rasmussen mentioned he was ‘shocked’ by President Donald Trump’s assertion – given the assembly he had with Vice President JD Vance and Marco Rubio.
"We made an agreement – the meeting we had last week left me with a clear impression that President Trump honestly wants to acquire Greenland but we also made it crystal clear that this is a red line".
"It is not easy when we wake up everyday to new threats," he added.
