DOJ points subpoenas to NY AG Letitia James, together with over Trump civil fraud case: Sources

Federal prosecutors in Albany have issued subpoenas to New York Attorney General Letitia James inquiring about her workplace’s civil fraud case in opposition to President Donald Trump and corruption case in opposition to the National Rifle Association, a number of sources instructed ABC News.

The Justice Department declined to remark.

A spokesperson for James known as the subpoenas a "weaponization of the justice system," invoking a criticism Trump used to explain her case in opposition to him that resulted in a half-billion-dollar penalty.
