Doughty scores 33 seconds into OT, Kings rally previous Blue Jackets 4-3 for tenth straight highway win
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Drew Doughty scored 33 seconds into extra time and the Los Angeles Kings rallied from a three-goal deficit within the third interval, beating the Columbus Blue Jackets 4-3 on Tuesday night time for his or her NHL record-tying tenth straight highway win.
Phoenix Copley stopped 26 for the Kings, who’ve received seven of their final eight video games and matched the highway win document of the 2006-07 Buffalo Sabres.
Phillip Danault scored twice, Arthur Kaliyev added a purpose and Vladislav Gavrikov contributed a pair of assists in his first recreation again in Columbus after being traded to Los Angeles in March.
Kirill Marchenko, Johnny Gaudreau and Mathieu Olivier scored, and Elvis Merzlikins stopped 35 for Columbus, which has misplaced eight video games this season after holding a lead within the remaining 20 minutes.
The first two intervals had been all Columbus, because the Blue Jackets constructed a three-goal lead heading into the ultimate 20 minutes, helped by a primary interval, power-play purpose from Marchenko, and second-period scores from Gaudreau and Olivier.
The Kings charged again with three objectives within the first 6:38 of the third interval, together with a pair from Danault and one from Kaliyev, earlier than Doughty’s extra time winner.
