Local police say that the youngsters had been shot in a "domestic disturbance" at totally different houses.
Police spokesperson Chris Bordelon stated 10 individuals had been shot in whole and among the eight youngsters who died had been associated to the gunman.
The suspect was reportedly shot and killed by police throughout a chase.
