President of Estonia, Alar Karis, says Europe’s precedence ought to be repairing Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s relationship with Donald Trump and ending the struggle.
Mr Karis advised Sky News, "Now we’re thinking about what we can do. How to help Zelenskyy and Trump mend this relationship and what Europe can do to become a reliable partner for the US."
He added: "Europe needs us and, and vice versa, US needs also Europe."
The Estonian president additionally inspired European nations to extend their defence spending, after the UK introduced it will enhance spending to 2.5% of GDP by 2027. Estonia, which shares a land border with Russia, presently spends 3.4% of GDP on defence.
