Fake physique baggage and roses laid out at White House in protest, in search of ceasefire in Israel-Hamas conflict

Amnesty International hosted an illustration exterior the White House on Wednesday, protesting for a ceasefire within the Israel-Hamas conflict.

A mass of pretend physique baggage meant to characterize the useless have been laid out on the sidewalk exterior of the White House North Lawn.

Roses have been then laid on over the faux physique baggage whereas protestors held indicators.

Paul O’Brien, the Executive Director of Amnesty International USA, mentioned Amnesty International organized the demonstration to convey consideration to the lack of life that continues at present in Gaza.

“After the war crime that Hamas committed on October 7th we have seen more than 11,000 Gazans die. 5000 children. This demonstration is to bring home to President Biden the fact that he’s not doing enough to stop the violence in Gaza,” O’Brien mentioned.

Hazami Barmada, who’s a Syrian-Palestinian American, mentioned that she and others have been on their seventeenth day of silent protests exterior authorities buildings in Washington, D.C.

“We are on day 17 of out silent protest and demonstrations outside of the White House, State Department and Congress demanding to humanize the plight of the Palestinian people, demanding for a ceasefire, humanitarian aid and just in general to change the rhetoric and discourse of what’s happening to the Palestinians in Gaza and also in the West Bank,” Barmada mentioned.
