The mother and father of 16-year-old Adam Raine have sued OpenAI and CEO Sam Altman, alleging ChatGPT contributed to their teenage son’s suicide. Jay Edelson, the household’s legal professional, claims ChatGPT inspired Raine to drink, provided to put in writing a suicide notice and instructed him to maintain his suicidal ideas between himself and the chatbot.
