A 9.1-magnitude earthquake on 26 December 2004 brought about a tsunami which hit a dozen of nations, killing an estimated 230,000 individuals, together with 151 British nationals.
One of them was Piers Simon, who was holidaying in Thailand along with his brother and buddies when the catastrophe struck.
