FBI director Kash Patel speaks after Trump shooting suspect charged with attempted assassination

FBI director Kash Patel and acting attorney general Todd Blanche hold a news conference on the shooting at the White House correspondents’ dinner.

Patel said in an interview on Fox and Friends that they would speak to the media after the magistrate judge signs off on the related criminal complaint, which he said would contain significant detail.

Within 36 hours, he said, the authorities would be able to present to the world the "entire background" of the suspect.
