FBI director says U.S. dealing with excessive degree of threats: ‘I see blinking lights everywhere’

FBI Director Christopher Wray instructed senators Tuesday that he has by no means seen the U.S. face as dire a set of threats because it does immediately.

“While there may have been times over the years where individual threats could have been higher here or there than where they might be right now, I’ve never seen a time where all the threats, or so many of the threats, are all elevated all at exactly the same time,” Mr. Wray instructed the Judiciary Committee.

He mentioned an already heightened danger of terrorism hit “a whole other level” after Hamas’ murderous sneak assault on Israel two months in the past, which spawned new requires assaults on the U.S. by main terrorism teams.

But Mr. Wray mentioned different risks abound, together with America’s southern border and Iran’s continued curiosity in confronting the U.S.

“I see blinking lights everywhere I turn,” Mr. Wray mentioned.
