A person has been taken into custody two days after a US politician and her husband have been shot lifeless in Minnesota, legislation enforcement officers have mentioned.

Authorities had urged the general public to not method Vance Boelter, 57, who they warned might be armed, and who was reportedly posing as a police officer.

An enormous manhunt was launched on Saturday after Melissa Hortman and Mark Hortman have been shot lifeless at their residence in Minneapolis in what Minnesota governor Tim Walz known as a "politically motivated assassination".
