Fetal screens drive excessive C-section charges in U.S., New York Times report finds

Doctors usually use fetal screens to find out if there are any abnormalities in unborn infants. If there are, they could name for an emergency cesarean, or C-section. But a New York Times report finds that these screens do not precisely predict whether or not a child is in misery, which might result in pointless surgical procedures that put moms in danger.
