Once bitter political rivals, Jimmy Carter and Gerald Ford later turned shut buddies. The two presidents would promise one another to ship a eulogy on the different’s funeral. Carter fulfilled his promise after Ford died in 2006. At Carter’s funeral, Ford’s son, Steven Ford, realized his finish of the deal. “God did a good thing when he made your dad,” Steven Ford informed the Carter kids.
