Foreign secretary: Attempts to influence Abramovich to pay have ‘come to nothing’
Chelsea FC’s former proprietor Roman Abramovich has been informed by the British authorities to pay £2.5bn right into a Ukraine fund or face court docket motion.
Sir Keir Starmer stated throughout PMQs that "the clock is ticking, honour the commitment that you made".
The Russian oligarch pledged in 2022 that the £2.5bn he made out of the sale of the membership could be used to learn victims of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
However, the funds stay frozen in a British checking account.
