Foreign secretary David Lammy says there’s “an irreversible pathway for Ukraine towards NATO”

The overseas secretary has urged Europe to do extra to assist Ukraine.

Speaking on a panel on the Munich Security Conference, David Lammy mentioned will probably be extra pricey for nations on the continent if Ukraine doesn’t beat Russia.

He mentioned: "Quite rightly we say that there is an irreversible pathway for Ukraine towards NATO, that is the cheapest, and it is the best mechanism to secure peace not just in Europe but the Euro-Atlantic."
