Foreign secretary hits out at Conservative chief’s feedback after Labour MPs deported from Israel
Foreign Secretary David Lammy has accused Kemi Badenoch of "disgraceful cheerleading" after she supported Israel’s proper to deport two Labour MPs.
Yuan Yang and Abtisam Mohamed had been refused entry to Israel as a result of the nation’s immigration service stated they had been suspected of desiring to unfold "anti-Israel hatred".
The Council for Arab-British Understanding (Caabu) and Medical Aid for Palestinians (Map) stated that they had organised the journey and the MPs stated they had been a part of on official parliamentary delegation.
Speaking to Trevor Phillips, Ms Badenoch stated "every country should be able to control its borders".
But Mr Lammy posted on X: "It’s disgraceful you are cheerleading another country for detaining and deporting two British MPs. Do you say the same about Tory MPs banned from China?"
