When questioned in regards to the Tory celebration playing scandal, former defence secretary Liam Fox stated "it was stupid, it’s venal and how could anyone think that it was ethical?"
However, he cautioned in opposition to projecting the actions of some onto the complete Conservative celebration saying "it’s very dangerous to have this politics by association’".
"Individuals must be responsible for their own behaviour," stated the previous defence secretary.
