Former Obama adviser says Biden’s approval score ‘very, very dark’

President Biden’s numbers in a brand new Wall Street Journal ballot look “very, very dark,” in line with former Obama adviser David Axelrod.

“Job approval down, ratings generally down, most of the comparisons with [former President Donald] Trump… not good,” Mr. Axelrod mentioned on the podcast he co-hosts, referred to as “Hacks on Tap.”

In the ballot launched over the weekend, Mr. Biden had an approval score of 37%, whereas 61% mentioned they didn’t approve. In a hypothetical match-up between Mr. Biden and Mr. Trump, 47% mentioned they’d vote for the previous president, whereas 43% selected Mr. Biden.



More than 50% of these surveyed mentioned the president’s insurance policies have negatively impacted their lives, whereas solely 37% mentioned the identical about Mr. Trump’s insurance policies.

“You know what I worry about … from a Biden standpoint, is there are the kinds of things you get when people are starting to rationalize their votes – ‘Oh look, they’re ready to fire Biden, that’s a problem,’” Mr. Axelrod mentioned. 

He mentioned it was “unbelievable” to him that Mr. Biden’s staff retains pushing the “Bidenomics” slogan, stating the White House has used indicators with the slogan at lots of Mr. Biden’s newer speeches.

Mr. Axelrod has mentioned earlier than that he believes Mr. Biden has a 50/50 shot of profitable the 2024 election.
