Former Team GB athlete questions Parkrun’s choice to delete data after transgender row

Former Team GB athlete Sharron Davies has questioned the timing of Parkrun’s choice to wipe all velocity data from its web site.

Speaking to Sky News, the previous Olympic swimmer instructed the change was made in response to a debate over trans runners, after it emerged in December that at the least three Parkrun feminine data have been held by transgender ladies.

The organisation introduced this week it’s going to not publish information akin to first-place finishes, gender, course and age data, with the purpose of creating the occasions much less aggressive.
