FTC appears to ban non-compete clauses, impacting tens of millions of employees

The Federal Trade Commission is planning to ban non-compete clauses, that are the components of employer contracts that bar employees from leaving for a competitor or beginning a competing enterprise. The measure will not be official and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce referred to as the ban “unlawful,” saying it might sue the FTC to dam it.
