Georgia Confederacy group sues state park over new exhibit

The Georgia Division of the Sons of Confederate Veterans has sued Georgia’s Stone Mountain Park over a proposed historic exhibition. The group argues that the "truth-telling" exhibition deliberate by the Stone Mountain Memorial Association violates state regulation requiring Stone Mountain to be preserved as a memorial to the Confederacy. The deliberate exhibit would discover Stone Mountain’s connections to the Ku Klux Klan, the historical past of the Confederate memorial carving on the mountain and its origins in efforts to uphold segregation.
