Group of CDC staff tells company’s management they felt like ‘sitting geese’ throughout capturing
Employees on the high US public well being company, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, have been winding down their Friday when bullets smashed by their workplace home windows, whizzing simply over their cubicle partitions.
Across the road from the CDC campus, a gunman — probably motivated by a hatred of vaccines — had opened fireplace on the company’s buildings, bringing panic to the upscale Atlanta neighborhood and the sprawling, open-access campus of Emory University that’s adjoining to it.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation on Saturday recognized Patrick Joseph White, 30, a resident of the Atlanta suburb Kennesaw, because the shooter. The investigation into what led to the capturing is ongoing.
