‘Growing anger’ within the US army in the direction of the UK, says former international secretary
Sir Keir Starmer allowed the US army to really feel "let down" by refusing to let UK bases be used within the preliminary US strikes in opposition to Iran, former international secretary David Owen has informed Sky News.
Speaking to Sir Trevor Phillips, he mentioned there was "growing anger" on the opposite facet of the Atlantic over the UK’s stance.
The prime minister initially refused to let US plane use UK bases over fears concerning the authorized foundation of the strikes in opposition to Iran – he later backtracked on that call.
