Kevin Hollinrake, the Conservative Party chair, says Angela Rayner, who resigned on Friday after questions over her tax invoice, shouldn’t take a £17,000 severance fee.
He advised Sky News: "Angela Rayner voted in February final yr that no minister who was being investigated or who was responsible of this sort of offence ought to ever obtain a severance fee.
"I expect her to be as good as her word."
