Hope, therapeutic, listening to: How a cochlear implant helps a person hear once more
On Dec. 18, 2023, the world went silent for Thomas Campbell. The lively and vibrant 70-year-old misplaced his listening to in his left ear when he was 33 years previous. And with out a lot warning, on that December day, his listening to went out in his proper ear, leaving him fully unable to listen to.
When different medical facilities could not assist, Thomas turned to Mayo Clinic for solutions. Dr. Nicholas Deep, a Mayo Clinic otolaryngologist, had a plan.
