Horse rescued from icy pond in upstate New York
A horse that fell via the ice of an upstate New York pond was saved by rescuers who pulled collectively to free the animal from the frigid water.
Body-camera footage from responding officers reveals the group of Saratoga Springs police and neighbors grunting and straining to drag Sly, a 1,300 pound horse, from a gap within the ice late Monday afternoon.
Sly’s proprietor, Ali Ernst, mentioned she seen her three horses enjoying on the pond when she got here residence from work, which was not unusual. But when she appeared out once more, the 22-year-old quarter horse had fallen via the ice.
