House investigators are currently examining the business deals of Biden’s family, while estimating his net worth to be $10 million.

President Biden often refers to himself as “middle-class Joe,” but his disclosed wealth has increased to a minimum of $10 million. Congressional investigators are currently examining the methods through which the president and his family accumulated tens of millions more in undisclosed foreign business agreements.

According to a recent estimate from Forbes, the president’s wealth has increased by approximately $2 million since assuming office in January 2021. The majority of this growth can be attributed to the escalating value of his residences in Wilmington and Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, rather than any profitable involvement in influence peddling. The combined worth of these properties is now $7 million, which is approximately $1.8 million higher than when Mr. Biden became president.

For nearly his entire adult life, Mr. Biden was a senator, receiving an annual salary that ranged from $42,500 in 1973 to $169,300 in 2008, when he was elected vice president. His vice presidential salary was $230,700.

In addition to his homes, the president’s assets include his 1967 Stingray Corvette, worth an estimated $100,000.

During eight years as vice president, the Wilmington house even generated a tidy income. The Secret Service rented a cottage on the property, paying Mr. Biden $26,400 per year.

Towards the conclusion of the Obama presidency, Joe and Jill Biden found themselves facing financial difficulties. Their son Beau Biden was battling cancer, and it was reported that Mr. Biden considered selling their residence in Wilmington to contribute towards his medical expenses. President Obama even extended a helping hand by offering financial assistance.

After he left the vice presidency in 2017, Mr. Biden’s net worth rose rapidly, from an estimated $2.5 million to about $8 million. He earned $11.1 million in 2017, $4.6 million in 2018, $1 million in 2019 and $630,000 in 2020.

Included in that soaring income were speaking fees, book contracts, and nearly $1 million in payments from the University of Pennsylvania from 2017-19 for a professor emeritus post that required very little work.

Mr. Biden experienced a significant increase in his wealth after leaving government service between 2017 and 2021. However, his reported financial status is not considered exceptional in Washington, and it does not rank among the highest levels. OpenSecrets.org reveals that at least eight members of Congress, including former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, had a net worth exceeding $100 million in 2020.

House Republicans are investigating whether Mr. Biden gained financial advantages while serving as vice president through his son Hunter’s international business transactions. As the evidence of potential corruption has mounted, House Republicans are now advocating for an inquiry into impeachment.

Last month, bank records were made public by House investigators, which detailed the collection of millions of dollars by the Biden family and their associates from Russian, Kazakh, and Ukrainian oligarchs during Joseph Biden’s tenure as vice president.

The bank records, obtained by the House Oversight and Accountability Committee, confirm testimony from two IRS whistleblowers and Biden associate Devon Archer that millions of dollars flowed to Hunter Biden around the time his father met with the oligarchs as vice president.

The committee found over $20 million that was paid to Hunter Biden and his business partners. This money was divided among 10 members of the Biden family, which includes President Biden’s grandchildren.

None of the money has been directly linked to President Biden, and he has denied knowledge or involvement in his son’s business deals. Mr. Biden has said there was a “wall” between him and his family’s business dealings, and that he never asked Hunter Biden about it.

Chairman James Comer, a Republican from Kentucky, disputes the claim and assures that Republican investigators will determine the precise destination of the funds.

“During Joe Biden’s time as vice president, Hunter Biden utilized him as a marketing tool to gain substantial profits from oligarchs in Kazakhstan, Russia, and Ukraine,” stated Mr. Comer. “It seems that no actual services were provided aside from granting access to the Biden network, including Joe Biden himself. And Hunter Biden appears to have succeeded in this endeavor. This is evident through instances such as meals at Café Milano, where then-Vice President Joe Biden dined with oligarchs from various countries who had financially supported his son. It is evident that Joe Biden was aware of his son’s business dealings and allowed himself to be utilized as a means to enrich the Biden family while serving as Vice President of the United States. The House Oversight Committee will continue to investigate the financial transactions and gather testimonies from witnesses to ascertain whether foreign entities specifically targeted the Bidens, if President Biden is compromised or involved in corruption, and if our national security is at risk.”
