‘I do not assume tariffs assist anybody,’ shadow minister says as Trump’s tariffs causes markets to crash

Shadow paymaster normal Richard Holden has given his response as international markets reply to Donald Trump’s tariffs, saying they "don’t help anyone" and are "creating concern and uncertainty".

He continues to say that "this is a concerning time for business", and criticise Labour as they should not be placing "extra massive regulations on business" or elevating the National Insurance tax. "I really worry about the impact on the wider economy", Mr Holden says.
