For the second time in lower than a month the volcano close to the small fishing city of Grindavik – on the southwestern aspect of Iceland – has rumbled to life.
Two volcanic fissures opened north of the city breaching defensive partitions, and are placing close by settlements in danger in keeping with the Icelandic Met Office.
