Dawn Butler says she is "disappointed" that Sir Keir Starmer has not publicly backed the mayor of London, following criticism from the US president.
Donald Trump used a speech on the UN yesterday to accuse Sir Sadiq Khan of being a "terrible, terrible mayor" and mentioned that beneath him London needs to "go to Sharia law," which is Islam’s authorized system.
The prime minister has not criticised the feedback or backed the mayor, although Khan has mentioned it reveals Trump is "racist, sexist, misogynistic and Islamophobic".
