Infected blood: ‘Bittersweet second for the group’ says Charity chair

The contaminated blood scandal was "not an accident" – and its failures lie with "successive governments, the NHS, and blood services", a public inquiry has discovered.

Chair of trustees of The Haemophilia Society Clive Smith says Sir Brian Langstaff has "shone a light on one of the darkest chapters of this nation’s history".

However, the individuals who died "will never receive justice but that’s why today is such a bittersweet moment for the community".
