Iryna Vereshchuk: We were heard. The issue is resolved – internally displaced persons are not evicted

Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk emphasized during the live broadcast of the national telethon: an initiative of the Ministry for Reintegration of the Temporary Occupied Territories of Ukraine to ban the eviction of internally displaced persons (IDPs) from educational institutions has been supported. No one will evict people without providing them with another shelter.

“I visited two educational institutions in Zaporizhia, regarding which we received signals on the hotline of the Ministry for Reintegration of the Temporary Occupied Territories of Ukraine. About 250 people contacted us and informed us that they are to be evicted in the near future, – the official gave an example. – We contacted the local authorities. The issue is resolved. People will not be evicted, all their rights will be preserved. The same goes for other institutions.”

Iryna Vereshchuk urged IDPs to contact the Ministry’s hotline 1548 in case of problems. All messages will be addressed.
