Israel strikes Beirut for first time in months, saying it killed Hezbollah chief of workers
An Israeli airstrike has struck Lebanon’s capital Beirut for the primary time in months.
The IDF mentioned it focused and killed Hezbollah’s chief of workers, Haytham Ali Tabtabai, who Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has described in a press release as "a master of murders".
Sky’s Middle East correspondent Adam Parsons says the strike represents a "significant escalation" within the battle between Israel and Hezbollah, which has been topic to a ceasefire for practically a 12 months.
