The chief secretary to the prime minister has informed Sky News the UK was not knowledgeable of US plans to strike Venezuela.
When requested whether or not he felt the operation was a hit, Darren Jones stated: "The very first thing to say is it was an American operation. The United Kingdom was not concerned in any means, we weren’t knowledgeable of it beforehand.
"So it’s not for us to judge whether it’s been a success or not. That’s for the Americans to speak to."
