Jacob Reeg-Mogg has told Sky News that dedicated diversity and inclusion officers in the civil service "don’t do anything useful", adding that diversity is "the job of people making employment decisions".
Mr Rees-Mogg added that 91,000 civil servants need to be cut to return to 2016 levels.
He also took aim at SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon who he says is "very often wrong" and "always moaning".
