Home Secretary James Cleverly has apologised for making a joke about placing a date rape drug in his spouse’s drink when he advised feminine friends it was "not really illegal if it’s only a little bit".
Mr Cleverly’s spokesperson stated his remark was "clearly meant to be an ironic joke", however ladies’s rights teams say the minister ought to step down.
