Shadow justice secretary Robert Jenrick says Elon Musk had nothing to do with the Conservatives’ determination to name for a full inquiry into youngster grooming gangs.
Mr Jenrick stated it was unsuitable to recommend the earlier authorities did little to deal with the issue, including that "more information has come to light with every passing month".
Conservative chief Kemi Badenoch is pushing for a nationwide inquiry after Mr Musk used his X platform to launch a barrage of on-line assaults on the Government over the problem.
Yesterday, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer accused politicians of spreading misinformation.
Officials are accused of ignoring claims younger ladies had been being abused by organised teams of Asian males within the city of Rotherham from the late Nineteen Eighties till 2013.
