Shadow justice secretary Robert Jenrick says Elon Musk had nothing to do with the Conservatives’ choice to name for a full inquiry into youngster grooming gangs.
Mr Jenrick mentioned it was mistaken to recommend the earlier authorities did little to sort out the issue, including that "more information has come to light with every passing month".
Conservative chief Kemi Badenoch is pushing for a nationwide inquiry after Mr Musk used his X platform to launch a barrage of on-line assaults on the Government over the difficulty.
Yesterday, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer accused politicians of spreading misinformation.
Officials are accused of ignoring claims younger ladies have been being abused by organised teams of Asian males within the city of Rotherham from the late Nineteen Eighties till 2013.
